We are now approaching the height of summer in Windsor and the town is bursting with summer activities.
All Aboard! This summer the Royal Windsor Steamboat Express is taking to the water and engulfing passengers in the Victorian Era. This excursion is ideal for those visiting the City due to its spectacular history with the Royals as even Her Majesty the Queen has travelled on the restored Victorian steamboats. You can read more about the Steamboat Express here.
Speaking of History, a production of William Shakespeare’s As You Like It will be taking to Yaow Theatre throughout July.
“The royal court has been overthrown and the exiled Duke is living in the Forest of Arden with his followers ‘like the old Robin Hood of England’. Escape with Rosalind and Orlando to the enchanting greenwood, where the lazy foot of time allows love to flourish…”
Take in the sights of Windsor by carriage, join Ascot Carriages as they offer a personal, professional and luxury service. Your driver will inform you of all there is to know about the royal park as you relax in the back seats. Even better, you can enjoy a picnic onboard whilst you are taking in everything the carriages have to offer.
Alan Barnes heads to Maidenhead this July with his Jazz on a Summer’s Day performance. You can find him at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on the 5th of July from 8 pm. This is not a performance to miss!
